Our Impact

With autism on the rise, more and more families find themselves facing the disability head-on. Prism autism services offers the most effective treatment demonstrated through research for autism, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through a comprehensive individualized treatment program offering clinic, in-home and community direct therapy provided by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) under the close supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). Communication and Social Skills training are addressed in collaborative sessions with Licensed Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.

On April 26, 2018, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new data on the prevalence of autism in the United States. This surveillance study identified 1 in 59 children (1 in 37 boys and 1 in 151 girls) as having autism spectrum disorder (ASD). (www.autismspeaks.org)

90%

A seminal research study from 1987 by O. Ivar Lovass, Ph.D., indicated that by following intensive ABA therapy, 90% substantially improved and 47% of the children in the study became indistinguishable among their peers.

30+

“Thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.”

– United States Surgeon General David Satcher, MD, PhD

48%

Published in 2005, Intensive Behavioral Treatment for children with Autism: Four-Year Outcome and Predictors, Sallows and Graupner found that 48% of all children showed rapid learning, achieved average post-treatment scores, and at age 7, were succeeding in regular education classrooms.

Happy Parent

“Prism ABA therapy has absolutely been the best thing for my boys and our whole family. Both of my boys were diagnosed with autism and since coming to Prism have made so many improvements. My 6 year old son went from non verbal to speaking full sentences. My 6 year old son started at three years old at prism. He now goes to regular kindergarten and follows all instructions. My 3 year old son also was nonverbal and now can say words that I didn't think he would ever say. I feel they will go a long way with the help they get at Prism ABA therapy. Prism has taught them patience and coping skills that have helped tremendously. My kids love going everyday to therapy and working one on one with their BCBA and RBTs.”
